This is the heaviest I’ve been in a long time, weighing in this morning at 147 lbs. This is the product of a summer of ‘bulking’ and food binges.

Now it’s time to cut back and see what gains I’ve managed under this layer of podge! I’m posting this as a sort of self-motivation and to document my progress in weight loss.

My aim is to lose ~10 lbs and see where it gets me. I’ll make sure to update this site with a new progress pic every week. Will be nice to finally see my abs again! Who knows, maybe I’ll be closer to a six-pack??

An introduction

Before I start regularly posting here, I want to take the chance to introduce myself.

My name is Kim and I’m a 22 year old Physics student based in England. I’ve been studying for 4 years at Southampton University, though currently I’m taking some time off.

I am a self-confessed technophile and have been for as long as I can remember. If I’m not busy tinkering with the tech I own, you’ll probably find me researching what’s coming in the near-future.

I’ve recently made the switch from iOS to Android (iPhone 6s –> OnePlus 3) after getting bored with Apple’s OS. I love the added freedom and deeper levels of Google integration that Android has to offer, though I do miss the iOS app ecosystem. So I may jump back on the iOS-bandwagon, but keep my OnePlus 3. We shall see.

Aside from my borderline unhealthy obsession with technology, I also like to focus on fitness. I’ve never been a sporty individual (my terrible hand-eye coordination is probably to blame), but I have always enjoyed the feeling of being physically healthy. So I try to keep to a pretty strict regime of working-out and watching what I eat.

And finally, I am transgender. It’s not a big part of my identity anymore, and I don’t tend to spend too much time thinking about it, but I thought it worth mentioning since you will probably see how it has influenced my political thinking.

So, now you know a little about me (:
